Using
the Adobe Acrobat Reader to View PDF Documents
Open the PDF
version (.pdf) of the poster/presentation with the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Download a free copy of the
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader.
View the PDF on-line or save
it to your desktop for
viewing and printing off-line later. If you choose to print the PDF file, it is
generally better to save it to your hard drive first and then print it, as some
printers require considerable time and memory to process large files.

Using
the Web browser:
1.
Right click on the link or thumbnail (Figure 1);
2.
Choose Save Target As from the menu;

3.
An automatic default name will be given to the PDF file; rename if necessary,
but ensure that the PDF file name contains a .pdf extension.
Using
Adobe Acrobat Reader, with the PDF open:
1.
Click on the file icon (Figure 2).

4.
Save the PDF in the appropriate directory for later retrieval.
How
to magnify/enlarge poster size:
1. Open
the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader;
2.
Choose the Zoom In Tool;
3.
With the Zoom In Tool, click on the area you want to magnify/enlarge on the
poster (Figure 2);
4.
Click on the area several times until you achieve the appropriate size.

How
to print the large poster PDF to fit letter, legal or
tabloid size paper:
1. Open
the poster (saved to your desktop) using the Adobe Acrobat Reader;
2.
Click on the print icon;
3.
Select Fit to page and Print as image (Figure 3).

4.
Under Properties (on the Layout tab) select Advanced to select a paper size
(Legal, Tabloid etc.) from the dropdown menu (Figure 4). Select OK to print.
