QMP–LS’ External Quality Assessment (EQA) division is recruiting a Consultant Technologist primarily to manage the routine clinical chemistry and hematology programs. These are mature programs that require ongoing development and innovation. The successful candidate will be expected to have sufficient flexibility to take on the administration of other programs from time to time as required and QMP–LS is looking for innovation, ideas and energy to take its EQA program to higher levels of excellence.

OLA has recently welcomed new staff. In March 2012, Ayaz Makrod was promoted to Staff Technologist. Ayaz has served as Staff Coordinator for OLA since January 2010. He is an MLT with recent experience in Transfusion Medicine and in 2011 he earned a certificate in Laboratory Quality Management from the University of British Columbia.

Ontario Laboratory Accreditation (OLA) has a new team member! On April 2nd, Angela Situ joined OLA in her role as Staff Technologist where she will coordinate and carry out laboratory accreditation assessments, with a focus to ongoing monitoring of conformance to OLA requirements by laboratories in Ontario, Newfoundland and New Brunswick.
